DHL is the global market leader in international express, overland transport and air freight. It is also the world's number 1 in ocean freight and contract logistics. DHL offers a full range of customised solutions throughout Ireland - from express document shipping to supply chain management. With over 1,000 committed staff in Ireland, DHL offers the following services; Domestic and International Express Deliveries, Air and Ocean Freight Services, SameDay Service, Logistics, Warehousing, and Global Business Mail.
DHL required a completely secure and reliable answer to their access control requirements but also needed a solution that would be user friendly and unobtrusive to employees, visitors and management.
Core provided DHL with a state of the art access control solution which utilises the latest in biometric technology – Core’s Iris Scan Solution. The solution has been rolled out in DHL’s Data Centre in Dublin and has proved a resounding success. Iris recognition simply involves taking a picture of the iris, which is then used solely for authentication. This stable, reliable and non-evasive solution employs iris recognition technology to provide DHL with accurate identity authentication without PIN numbers, passwords or cards.

To provide a comprehensive access control solution in Pfizer’s Dublin plant, that not only secures the plant and governs the access and entry of Pfizer staff and visitors, but ensures that the stringent health and safety requirements associated with this high profile pharmaceutical are fully met.
Core provided Pfizer with their Pharma Edition of CoreAccess, which is a modern, dynamic access control solution, designed in direct response to the needs of the highly regulated and controlled pharmaceutical industry. CoreAccess provides Pfizer with much more than a method to control the entry and exit of staff and visitors to the site. CoreAccess provides full compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements and ensures the highest levels of health and safety are maintained. Pre-set alarm conditions will automatically trigger a headcount report in the event of an emergency. People can "swipe if safe" at a predetermined intelligent device in a safe area. Using this information CoreAccess uses mustering to produce a "missing list".
The CoreAccess Pharma Edition, in conjunction with CoreHR modules, is being used by other Pfizer sites including their European Headquarters in Sandwich in Kent, Pfizer Little Island, Pfizer Loughbeg and Pfizer Ringaskiddy.
